Aston Villa – PSG Preview
Aston Villa have a tough task when they face PSG in a second leg from the Champions League 1/4-finals. After a 1-3 defeat in the first leg in Paris, now Unai Emery’s team needs a terrific performance in order to reach the 1/2-finals. Let’s preview this match in our free soccer tips today.
Everything started good for Villa at the Parc des Princes as Morgan Rogers opened the score in the first half. But everything went wrong since then – Desire Doue equalised for PSG while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes put the hosts ahead.
Now Unai Emery has to create a masterful tactical plan to neutralise PSG’s two goals advantage. And this could come by making some important changes in the starting eleven. Marco Asensio and Ollie Watkins are expected to return in the starting eleven while Amadou Onana and Ian Maatsen are also options for the Spanish manager.
PSG have the advantage that they already won the title in the French Ligue 1. This means that Luis Enrique could rest all of his players if he want to. And PSG can be as fresh as possible, compared to the opponent.
Of course, Enrique doesn’t have a reason to make many changes compared to the first game. Most likely Desire Doue will keep his place as a starter ahead of Bradley Barcola while Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves have to start in midfield. This is a proven formula for PSG at the moment – you don’t change what’s already working.
Desire Doue becomes PSG’s new star this season. The young winger is playing better and better for the French champions. And his goal against Villa a week ago was another proof for that.
That’s the free soccer tips today for the Champions League 1/4-finals second leg between Aston Villa and PSG. Can the English side cause an upset here? Let’s see.
